The fishing club owns a boat for use by members. The boat is a 5-metre Quintrex runabout with a 75 horsepower Mercury four stroke outboard motor. Various rules govern the use of the boat.
In essence the rules require that:
- Any member is welcome to crew on the boat after first being familiarised with the boat’s safety features and guidelines.
- In order to skipper the club boat on any outing, be it a competition outing or a private outing, a prospective skipper must first qualify to do so by holding a Waterways boat licence and completing the “orientation” procedure laid down by the club rules.
- Fees are payable for use of the club boat. The fees are currently set at $30 for competition days as per the club calendar and $60 for private outings.
- The boat must by thoroughly cleaned after use and also be refuelled at the users expense.
- If you are interested in either crewing on the boat or becoming a “skipper” please contact the Boat Captain for more details.
