Saturday had a brief window for those that were able to head offshore. Inside fishing was slow. The RSL had 5 people who caught fish and did pretty well. The Grange, who were the hosts, had 9 or 10 people with fish, and the extra numbers showed in the final scores.
The Grange Hotel came out on top with a total of 1056.15 points to the RSL’s 717.20
Top rod for the RSL on the day was Scott Russell with 192.5 points followed by John Timp on 164 points, Adam Overton on 147.2 points, Antony Wardle on 115.60 and Dean Wetherill on 97.9 points.
David Craig attempted his first comp for donuts, and has said that if he doesn’t catch anything the next time, then he’ll be selling his boat!
Congratulations to the Grange for their good catches. The competition, as always, was conducted in great spirts, with some good food. We’ll be hunting to get the trophy back next time!
